Peninah Jerop Arusei
Peninah Jerop Arusei (born February 23, 1979 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.
So far she has won three times (from 2006 to 2008) on the 10 km course of the Paderborn Easter Run (2008 with her best time of 31:42 min) and in 2007 at the Würzburg Residence Run over the same distance. In 2007 she also won the Venloop half marathon in 1:10:49 h. In 2006, 2008 and 2009 she won the 25 km of Berlin (2009 with the course and Africa record of 1:22:31 h) and in 2008 the Berlin half marathon in her best time of 1:08:22 h.
At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , she came in 18th place over the 10,000 meter distance .
