Pepping apples

Pepping or in English Pippin is the collective name of various English apple varieties . They are mostly winter apples , and they mainly belong to the Renetten or Calvillas . Pepping apples were especially popular in the 19th century when long-term fruit storage was even more complicated than it is today.
