Pero Díaz de Toledo

Pero Díaz de Toledo , señor de Olmedilla de Alarcón also Pedro Díaz de Toledo (* 1410 , † 1466 in Alcalá de Henares ) was a Spanish humanist and lawyer.

Live and act

He was the son of a family of converted Jews , conversos . In 1430 de Toledo began his university studies probably in Valladolid . Then from 1433 he described himself as a student of law . On September 12, 1438, he finished his education at the University of Lérida . He received his doctorate and was appointed judge on October 15, 1440 . From 1441 he ruled as judge at the court, Oidor de Audiencia .

He was one of the advisors to King John II of Castile .
