geography
course
The Elberndorfer Bach rises in the southwest of the Rothaargebirge in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park . Its source is located in the district of Hilchenbach local part Oberdorf on the western slopes of the mountain belt ( 677.7 m above sea level. NHN ) to about 644 m in height. There is a forest path on site at a height of 643.7 m .
After an initial stretch in a southerly direction of flow, the Elberndorfer Bach turns to the southeast and from then on flows through a forest area in which it crosses under the Rothaarsteig at a ford, among other things . After a while the forest opens up and it flows through an open meadow valley. From there it continues, partly through forest, partly through meadow landscapes, and after several kilometers of flowing it makes a bend towards the east-northeast. During the next few kilometers it takes in some tributaries from the left.
Finally , the Elberndorfer Bach flows about 1.5 km north-northeast of Erndtebrück at an altitude of about 466 m from the left into the Fulda tributary Eder, which comes from there from the south-south-west .
Catchment area and tributaries
