content
The story is about Yū Narukami, a quiet teenager who stays with his uncle in the small town of Inaba for a year because his parents work abroad for a long time. Although staying in Inaba promises to be very quiet at first, the small town's peace is soon disrupted by mysterious disappearances and inexplicable murders. Of course, these events do not go past Yū and his new friends, just like the rumor that at night on a rainy day you can see your "soul mate" on the television when it is switched off. When they investigate the matter, they discover a mysterious world on TV and find out that it has something to do with the murders. Together they try to solve and stop the series of murders.

reception
The German magazine Animania calls the series a successful implementation of the game template, precisely because the plot has been significantly shortened. Some lengths of the original have disappeared, but unfortunately also some depth of the characters. Nevertheless, the six protagonists would be given enough space for their personalities to make an impression. Their problems are “not entirely new, but psychologically credible, intelligently nested and captivating”. The choreography of the action scenes, the graphic implementation with “beautifully lit, realistically colored images” and the “carefully” newly arranged music are also praised.
