Peter-August Baath

Peter-August Baath (born May 14, 1872 in Trebbin , Teltow district , † September 29, 1959 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer . He was a secret councilor, employee of the Federal Office for the Homeland and an assessor in the Reich Supply Court.

Life

He was the son of the district court director Baath and his wife Anna nee Messerschmidt. After attending the Wilhelm Gymnasium in Berlin and the Royal Gymnasium in Bromberg, Peter-August Baath studied law at the University of Berlin .

On March 1, 1906 he was appointed district judge in Stargard in Pomerania, later he moved back to Berlin, where he was appointed a secret councilor on July 1, 1911. At the same time he took on a leading position in the Federal Office for the Homeland, which he carried out over the next few decades. This Federal Office was a higher administrative court with its seat in Berlin and was dissolved in 1940. At this point, Ba'ath was already retired. He died in 1959 in the Stuttgart district of Untertürkheim .

Peter-August Baath was best known for his explanation of the Support Residence Act and various welfare ordinances.

family

On May 28, 1906, he married Margarete, née Bergemann, the daughter of the bank teller Otto Bergemann and his wife Anna née Hübotter. The children Ilse (* 1907), Rolf (1909–1983) and Klaus (* 1914) emerged from their marriage.
