Peter-Jürgen Czygan

Peter-Jürgen Czygan (born January 13, 1937 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Is a German gynecologist .

Life

Czygan studied medicine at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He became a member of the Corps Palaiomarchia-Masovia (1955) and the Corps Isaria (1956). As a student he was a successful athlete in javelin and discus throwing . With a doctorate in Gerhard Bettendorf he was in 1962 at the University of Hamburg for Dr. med. PhD . He completed his gynecological training at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf , where he completed his habilitation in 1972 . As a professor he was elected chief physician of the gynecological clinic of the Frankfurt-Höchst City Clinic in 1982 . Retired in 2000 after 18 years, he returned to Hamburg .
