Peter Bailly

Peter Bailly (born June 12, 1900 in Eschweiler ; † October 23, 1981 in Dinslaken ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school and training as a welder and locksmith , he worked for various companies in Dinslaken. From 1930 he worked for the municipal welfare office. In 1933 he was released and taken into protective custody. He then worked as a driver. In 1935 he was arrested again and sentenced to 2 years in prison . Bailly was a soldier from 1942 to 1945. Then until 1964 he was an employee at the Dinslaken employment office .

He was married and had one child.

He was a member of the district council of the former Dinslaken district from 1964 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974. He also belonged to the city council of the city of Dinslaken in 1946-1948 and 1952-1972.

Public offices

From October 19, 1964 to December 31, 1974 he was District Administrator of the Dinslaken district.

Bailly was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Awards

In 1971 Bailly was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st Class.
