Peter Bizer

Peter Bizer (born August 26, 1942 in Vienna ) is a German journalist and book author.

Career

Bizer began working as a journalist at Südwest Presse in Ulm in 1961 , was text editor at the Munich sports press agency Sven Simon from 1970 and went to Hamburg magazine STERN in 1975 , where he worked as a sports director and later as a Moscow correspondent (1982-85) and author. In 1986 he started the SPORTS magazine as editor-in-chief , also at Gruner + Jahr . After working as a consultant on the Frankfurt Bid Committee for the 2004 Olympic Games, which was withdrawn after the German reunification in favor of Berlin, moved Bizer for a short time in the Munich chief editor of the magazine Bunte. From 1990 to 1994 he was responsible for public relations at Deutsche Sport Marketing GmbH (DSM), a company of the National Olympic Committee for Germany (NOK). For the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , Bizer was appointed spokesman for the German Olympic team. In Atlanta , the Olympic city in 1996, he founded a service agency for international companies. a. he was involved in the reconstruction of the Margaret Mitchell House by Daimler-Benz AG. For the duration of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games , he and two partner agencies chartered the cruise ship Germany as a guest ship for the German NOK and international companies. In 2004, on behalf of DaimlerChrysler Bank , he organized the installation Carrying Owls to Athens by the artist Ottmar Hörl during the Athens Olympic Games .

Bizer has been a journalist, press officer or event manager at twelve Olympic Games since 1972. In 2014 he published his second book about the former FC Bayern president Uli Hoeneß . He lives in Hamburg .
