Peter Bosek

Peter Bosek (born June 5, 1968 in Vienna ) is an Austrian bank manager and has been a member of the board of Erste Group since January 2015 , where he is responsible for the retail banking sector.

Life

Peter Bosek grew up in Vienna and studied at the law faculty of the University of Vienna , which he successfully completed with a doctorate in 1993.

From 1993, Peter Bosek stayed for three years as an assistant at the Faculty of Law, Institute for Administrative Law and Constitutional Law at the University of Vienna. In 1996 he started his professional career at Erste Österreichische Spar-Casse and held various management positions there until 2007, particularly in the areas of residential construction and real estate as well as branches. At the same time, Peter Bosek worked as a lecturer in law at the University of Vienna between 1996 and 2005.

In 2007, Peter Bosek was appointed to the board of directors of Erste Bank der Österreichische Sparkassen AG as a member with the competence area "Retail Austria". In 2010 he also took over the areas of corporate and major customers. On January 1, 2015, he took on the newly established role of Board Member for Private Customers at Erste Group Bank AG. This is also responsible for the bank's internal fintech Erste Hub and its digital workshop BeeOne, which are responsible for the development of "George", the innovative digital banking platform of the Erste Group.

Peter Bosek is a popular speaker and has appeared as a speaker or panelist at Money 20/20 Europe , the Mobey Forum and several Handelsblatt banking conferences in recent years .

In addition to classic retail banking topics, his expertise applies above all to the ongoing digitization of banks and the start-up economy. He also presented this as a keynote speaker at the 4gamechanger Festival 2017.

Peter Bosek is also a member of the supervisory board of Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group.
