Peter Breitner

Peter Breitner (born April 13, 1919 in Niederlauterbach , today Wolnzach ; † December 27, 1974 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Breitner attended elementary and advanced training schools as well as several agricultural vocational schools and was then an agricultural teacher and owned a training company. In 1938 he joined the Reich Labor Service and the 17 Cavalry Regiment in Bamberg as a volunteer. During the Second World War he was active in all European theaters of war before he was discharged from the Wehrmacht in 1942 after he was seriously wounded. After his release, he worked on his parents' farm, which he took over in 1951. He was the district chairman of the Bavarian Farmers' Association and was a member of several committees at the district, district and state level. In 1948 he was elected to the district council of the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district for the first time , where he was also parliamentary group chairman and deputy district administrator. In 1970 he was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament for the first time . However, he died a few months after his re-election in 1974, and Gerhard Frank took over the mandate .
