Peter Eder

Peter Eder (born September 4, 1969 in Schwarzach ) is President of the Salzburg Chamber of Labor . Peter Eder was also mayor of the municipality of Bürmoos in the state of Salzburg from 2009 to 2018 .

Life

Peter Eder is the son of the former mayor of Lend, Peter Eder senior.

Peter Eder Junior came into contact with politics through the trade union movement and at the age of 16 became an apprentice youth trust council at Salzburger Aluminum AG (SAG). From 1992 he worked as a union official in the city of Salzburg.

In 2009, Eder was elected mayor of Bürmoos as Vice Mayor . He held this office until 2018.

As part of a successor that had been arranged long in advance, Peter Eder took over the chairmanship of the regional organization of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB) in Salzburg from Siegfried Pichler in 2017 . In 2018, Eder was also elected full-time President of the Chamber of Labor in the state.

Peter Eder is married and has two children.
