Baumann Bergmann Pokinsson is a German indie rock band from Hamburg , which was founded in 2015 under the name Poki & Band . The name Baumann Bergmann is derived from the surnames of the band members Anne Baumann ( vocals , electric bass ) and Gunnar Bergmann ( cajón , drums ). Pokinsson is the stage name of the German author and game designer Jan Müller-Michaelis . The band has so far released two studio albums on the independent label Lorke Records .

history

Jan "Poki" Müller-Michaelis, who created several award-winning computer games as a game designer , published Nadel und Faden , the theme song for the adventure Harvey's new eyes , back in 2011 . The video for this song was viewed in its two versions on YouTube almost a million times and is one of the most frequently covered German-language songs on this platform .

In 2016 the band toured Germany for Daedalic Entertainment under the name Poki & Band to promote Müller-Michaelis' latest game Deponia Doomsday in bars . Also in 2016 followed the debut album entitled Strange Occurrences at the annual general meeting of the South Pole Friends . In December 2016, Daedalic Entertainment received the German Developer Award in the “Best Marketing Campaign” category for the Deponia Doomsday Tour .

In 2018 Baumann Bergmann Pokinsson released her second studio album Schnupperstunde "Kosmos - Jetzt!" , Which was produced by Finn Seliger and Henne Frank.
