Peter Faiman (* 1944 in Melbourne as Peter Leonard Faiman ) is an Australian director and film producer who celebrated a major international blockbuster in the 1980s with his direction of Crocodile Dundee - A Crocodile to Kiss .

life and career

Peter Leonard Faiman, born in 1944, began a career as a director and producer for Australian television after completing his training at University High School in Melbourne in the early 1970s. His breakthrough came in 1971 with the TV film Behind the Fridge in the leading roles of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore . For the Australian television series The Graham Kennedy Show , he then worked from 1972 to 1975 as a producer. In 1976 he directed the television film Neil Diamond: The 'Thank You Australia' Concert . In 1980 he made another TV film, The Royal Charity Concert , where he also acted as a producer.

In 1986 he directed his romantic and comedic adventure film Crocodile Dundee - A crocodile to kiss , for his friend, actor and producer Paul Hogan , which was a great surprise success worldwide. The main female role was played by Linda Kozlowski . In 1991 Faiman directed the comedy The Poison Dwarf, which starred with Ed O'Neill , Ethan Embry and JoBeth Williams .
