Peter Fleischmann (historian)

Peter Fleischmann (* 1955 in Nuremberg ) is a German historian .

After studying history , German and social sciences at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and passing the state examination for teaching at secondary schools, he was a research assistant at the Institute for History at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 1982 to 1984 . In 1985 he received his doctorate . From 1984 to 1987 he completed his training for the higher archive service in Munich . From 1987 to 2000 he worked at the Nuremberg State Archives , from 2000 to 2010 he was head of the Augsburg State Archives , and from 2010 to 2012 head of the Munich State Archives . In 2007 he completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg with a thesis on advice and patriciate in Nuremberg. The rule of the councilors from the 13th to the 18th centuries .
