Peter Gerstner

Peter Gerstner (born April 8, 1959 ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). From November 9, 2017 to October 22, 2019, he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

Peter Gerstner joined the FPÖ in 1986. Since 1995 he has been a member of the board of the Ring Freedom Economist Baden , from 2009 district party chairman of the FPÖ Baden and since 2002 party chairman of the Bad Vöslau city group. Since 2010 he has been part of the municipal council of the municipality of Bad Vöslau and on November 9, 2017 he was sworn in in the Austrian National Council. Peter Gerstner is a self-employed farrier and father of three children.

In March 2019 it became known that Gerstner belonged to the Facebook group "German Reich". The group was founded by a citizen of the Reich and shares contributions that glorify the Nazis, such as Holocaust denial .

After the National Council election in 2019 , he resigned from the National Council.
