Peter Großmann (journalist)
Peter Großmann (born March 9, 1963 in Dortmund ) is a German presenter , journalist and musician .
youth
As a teenager, Großmann was a member of several bands , including The Void . After studying to be a certified sports teacher, he was a singer for eight years in the Dortmund band Strandjungs , a band of the Neue Deutsche Welle .
journalism
From the beginning of the 1990s he was a presenter on the local radio station Radio Dortmund . After the station ended in 1994, he worked briefly at SDR1 . In 1995 he switched to the newly founded youth wave Eins Live of the WDR as a presenter and author , where he co-wrote the radio comedy Eins Live Ponyhof and received the VIVA Comet in the category Best Radio Show for the show Sonderbar . Since May 2017, Peter Großmann has been moderating the program Off into the weekend on WDR 4 .
In 1996, Großmann took over the moderation of the sports section in the ARD morning magazine (as the longest-serving member of the editorial team to date) and is also otherwise active as a sports commentator and reporter in the ARD program. He is also a reporter for the WDR telecast sports in the West go. In 2010 he took part in the cooking show The Perfect Celebrity Dinner on the TV channel VOX . In 2012 he won the German television award with the ARD Morgenmagazin team .
In May 2009 Großmann published the book Naturdoping with Hademar Bankhofer . In 2010 two more books were published: Dumm kickt gut (together with Ingo Froböse ) deals with sports errors, Every child can do sports is a sports guide for children. 2012 followed Is it true passion or just high blood pressure? and in 2013 he published This Path Won't Be Easy , the biography of footballer Gerald Asamoah . In May 2015, the three-volume children's book series Fortuna Girls was published about a girls' soccer team, which Peter Großmann devised and wrote together with Nia Künzer . Life can be so simple has been on the market since October 2016 . In September 2017 an exercise and nutrition book for children was published.
Private life
Großmann lives in Dortmund, is married and has two children.
Since 2019 he has been a moderator at Live after nine .
