Peter Heizer

Peter Thomas Heizer (born August 21, 1977 in Walnut Creek ) is a former American - German basketball player. The 1.94 meter tall builder and winger was under contract with clubs in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Iceland and Great Britain during his professional career.

career

The son of a German mother and an American father grew up in Lafayette ( California ). He played college basketball at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, and at the University of the Pacific, also in California . In his final season 2000/01 he scored an average of 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 basket assists per encounter for Pacific in 30 games.

Heizer began his career as a professional basketball player in his mother's home country and strengthened the second division TSV Quakenbrück in the 2001/02 season . Thanks to his good performance, he made the leap into the basketball league , where he played for DJK s.Oliver Würzburg in the 2002/03 season and posted averages of 9.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 36 BBL missions.

From 2003 to 2005 he played for ratiopharm Ulm in the second Bundesliga, between 2005 and 2008 Heizer played for various clubs in other European countries, including for the Dutch first division team Matrixx Magix Nijmegen , Merida Augusta (fourth Spanish division), the Icelandic first division team KR Reykjavík as well as the English first division club Milton Keynes Lions .

From 2009 to 2011 he strengthened the BC Weissenhorn in the Regionalliga and in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In the 2014/15 season, Heizer was still temporarily on for the regional division SG Sechtem 1971 .

Heizer, who temporarily acted as a players' agent, returned to California after the end of his basketball career and worked as a financial advisor.
