Peter Husty

Peter Martin Husty (* 1964 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian art historian and chief curator of the Salzburg Museum .

Live and act

Peter Husty studied art history, ancient history and archeology in Salzburg. He completed a semester abroad at the University of Regensburg . He wrote his master's thesis on the Regensburg Scotsman Bernard Stuart with Ulrich Nefzger (1989).

In 1990 he became a freelancer at the Salzburg Museum Carolino-Augusteum (today Salzburg Museum). From 1998 he worked in the Salzburg Baroque Museum as a museum educator and in the PR / communication area. In 2001 he became head of the "Sculpture and Sculpture" department and head of the "Painting until 1800" department at the Museum Carolino-Augusteum.

Since 2005 he has been chief curator of the Salzburg Museum and head of the Neue Residenz , and is also responsible for all loan transactions.

Husty has three children.
