Peter Illmann

Peter Illmann (born March 17, 1959 in Dortmund ) is a German radio and television presenter and actor .

Live and act

After studying psychology and theater studies , he trained to speak at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and took acting lessons in Berlin. From 1980 to 2002 he was responsible for the moderation and editing of various radio programs at BR (including Pop nach 8 , ARD-Popnacht , Nightlife , Radio Show ).

In the meantime he moderated 68 episodes of the ARD music show Formula One in 1983 and 1984 . In 1985 he switched to ZDF and hosted the programs named after him, PIT - Peter-Illmann-Treff and Peters Pop Show . From March 28, 2004 he was co-host of Best of Formula One - The Show on kabel eins .

Until 2009 he hosted his own show, the Hit-Highlights , on Hitradio FFH . In addition to the normal radio program, almost forgotten music classics were played there.

As an actor, he had a guest role in the television film The Breath Artist in 2000 . He also took part in two films in 2003: Waste Your Youth and Totally .

From October 2010 to December 2012, Peter Illmann moderated the show Formula Mord on HörbuchFM.

Illmann played in the 2012 film Fraktus by director Lars Jessen around a fictional band. At the end of 2012 he released his double CD Peter Illmann - Private Collection , a compilation of his favorite songs off the charts.

Peter Illmann has hosted the new edition of the cult music program Formula One on RTL Nitro since 2013 . The show has its roots in the 1980s, but also shows the current German top ten placements. Formula One has been focusing on the hits of the 2000s since October 2016 .

He is co-owner of the company Ballyhooo! Travel & Television . The company creates television concepts. Illmann lives with his partner in Munich.

Since the end of 2018, he has been moderating the program Off into the weekend - The 70s / 80s Show on Fridays, alternating with Martina Emmerich and Peter Großmann (journalist) at WDR 4 .

On August 14, 2020, he had a guest appearance on The Worst Films of All Time in his old role as the presenter of Formula 1 (rewritten to Formula Once).
