Peter Köhler (writer)

Peter Köhler (* 1957 in Eschwege ) is a German writer .

Life

The focus of Köhler's journalistic and writing activities are satire , cultural history , literary criticism and chess . He works for newspapers and magazines and has edited numerous anthologies of comic literature, including a book on Christian saints and a treatise on nonsense. In the summer of 2006 he unleashed a German-Polish potato crisis with a satire on the Polish President Lech Kaczyński , which was published in the daily newspaper under the title Poland's New Potato. Together with two other authors, he founded the Neue Göttinger Gruppe in 2007 .

As a journalist, Köhler can be found regularly in the left-wing newspapers Junge Welt and taz .

Köhler lives in Göttingen .
