Peter Kafka is an American journalist . He works as a senior editor ( executive editor ) the technology blog Recode .

Career

After studying at the University of Wisconsin – Madison , Peter Kafka began his journalistic work in 1997 as an employee of Forbes magazine . There he was entrusted with reporting on the topics of media and technology . In 2005 he was responsible for setting up the Forbes website . In 2007 he was hired as the first employee and boss on duty ( Managing Editor ) at the news site Silicon Alley Insider . He has been working as a journalist for All Things Digital since 2008 , and from 2011 he produced the media conference D: Dive Into Media, which is part of All Things Digital .

After all things digital in late 2013 was abandoned and the founder Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher at the beginning of 2014 the new technology blog Recode founded, Kafka moved with them to the new site and as a senior editor ( Senior Editor in charge) for the division media.
