Peter Kiplagat Chebet (born September 19, 1982 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2001 he finished seventh in the World Half Marathon Championship in Bristol in his fastest time of 1:00:56. The following year he won the Berlin half marathon .

After that, he focused on running the marathon . Although he now has a number of top placements in important races, in contrast to his older brother Joseph Chebet, he has not yet been granted a win. The following year he was second in the Berlin Marathon , and in 2006 fifth in the Frankfurt Marathon .
