Peter Kleinmann (born September 17, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian volleyball manager and former player.

Life

Kleinmann was born in Vienna on September 17, 1947. In addition to his apprenticeship as a furrier , he joined the volleyball club ÖMV Blau Gelb at the age of 15 in 1962 and began a successful career as a player, coach and manager. He was hired as a player at ÖMV Blau Gelb Wien, Pradl Innsbruck, TSV Lindau, Club A. Tyrolia and celebrated the championship title at Blau Gelb Wien and Innsbruck. He played 88 times for the Austrian national team.

He passed his trainer examination in 1983 and continued his series of successes as a trainer and won a total of 9 Austrian championship titles and 8 Austrian cup wins with Club A. Tyrolia, Sokol V, WAT Kagran and Donaukraft and contributed significantly to the fact that the club hotVolleys Vienna , the several times changed his name, including Club A. Tyrolia Vienna, Donaukraft, Bayernwerk, Vienna hotVolleys and Aon hotvolleys, 18 championship titles, 15 cup victories, 3 titles in the Central European League and a final tour participation in the Champions League.

From 2001 to 2017 he was President of the Austrian Volleyball Association and a member of the board of the Austrian Olympic Committee . In September 2017 DI Gernot Leiter took over the office of President in the ÖVV from Peter Kleinmann.
