Peter Koller (legal philosopher)

Peter Koller (born January 25, 1947 in Graz ) is an Austrian legal philosopher and legal sociologist .

Life

Peter Koller completed his law studies in 1971 and philosophy with a minor in sociology in 1981, each with a doctorate. In 1985 he completed his habilitation in the subjects of legal and social philosophy and legal sociology. Since 1991 he has been a university professor for legal philosophy, legal theory and legal sociology at the Faculty of Law at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz . Numerous visiting professorships have taken him to the University of Minnesota , Rutgers University in New Jersey and Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, among others .

Koller is a member of the Advisory Board of the German Society for Research into Political Thought (DGEPD).
