Peter Müller (jazz musician)
Peter Müller (* 1947 in Berlin ; † April 18, 2007 there ) was a German musician (clarinet, saxophone, piano) of hot jazz . He directed the White Eagle Jazz Band .
Müller played with George Lewis and Captain John Handy as a teenager in New Orleans . In 1968 he founded the White Eagle New Orleans Band in Berlin , with which he performed in New Orleans in 1974 at the Jazz & Heritage Festival . In the following decade, the formation accompanied musicians such as Alton Purnell , Louis Nelson, Freddie Kohlman , Barry Martyn and Kid Sheik Cola on tours in Europe under the name White Eagle Jazz Band . He later toured with Woody Allen's band and shows like A Night in New Orleans and the Hot Jazz Festival on Sea . He also performed as a ragtime pianist . In his last years he played with Roger Radatz and with the Harlem Swing Trio . In addition to records with the White Eagle Jazz Band , he also recorded with Ken Colyer , Sammy Lee and Freddie Kohlman.
