Peter MacDonald (Director)

Peter MacDonald (* 1939 in London , England , United Kingdom) is a British director , cameraman and film producer .

Life

Peter MacDonald worked in film from the late 1950s, initially as a material assistant and later as a camera assistant. He has worked on films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Cabaret (1972), The Pink Panther Returns (1975), The Arnhem Bridge (1977), Superman (1978), Gorky Park (1983) and Rambo II - The Order (1985) with. From the beginning of the 1980s he worked as an assistant director, including in films such as The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Excalibur (1981) and as a cameraman, including in Solarfighters (1986) and Hamburger Hill (1987).

In 1988, MacDonald first directed Rambo III . The film received several nominations for the negative film award Golden Raspberry , including for the “ Worst Director ” and the “ Worst Film ”.
