Peter Muyzers
Peter Muyzers (born before 1995) is a special effects artist who was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects in 2010 for the film District 9 .
Life
In 1995 he worked for the first time in the field of visual effects as a 3D artist for advertising films in Europe. In 1997 he worked as a digital artist for the Trix company on the drama Gaston's War . He also worked at Trix on his next project, the documentation Everest - Summit Without Mercy . For his next films he moved to London as technical director for the Moving Picture Company . Here he made films such as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets , Pluto Nash - In the fight against the moon mafia and Troy .
In 2006, he joined the Vancouver- based company Image Engine as VFZ supervisor , for which he has made films such as Mr. Magoriums Wunderladen , Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer , The Incredible Hulk and District 9 in recent years . In 2010 he was for the film 9 District for the Oscar in the category visual effects best nominated.
In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
