Peter Nefischer

Peter Nefischer (born June 12, 1962 ) is an Austrian mechanical engineer .

Life

Nefischer grew up in Perg in Upper Austria , graduated in 1981 from the HTBL in Steyr (automotive engineering) and studied mechanical engineering - traffic engineering at the Vienna University of Technology from 1981 to 1986 , where he first graduated in 1986 as a graduate engineer and later completed his doctorate .

He and his wife Elisabeth have two children. He is a volunteer at the Lions Club Perg-Machland and in the parish of Perg as the director of the Catholic Educational Center and, together with his wife, trained as a pilgrim companion. In the years 2012 to 2014 the Jakobsweg Mühlviertel-Ost developed .

Professional background

He started his career from 1987 to 1989 as a test engineer at Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Steyr .

This was followed by seven years at Audi in Ingolstadt from 1989 in engine development, where he lived with his family until he returned to Steyr in 1996, this time to BMW Motoren GmbH.

There he was initially in charge of simulation / CAE in advance development and finally established himself as head of construction in diesel engine development. Among other things, he deals with bionics , the decoding of inventions of nature for use in technology. During his professional activity at BMW he was involved in various inventions for which the corresponding patents were registered. Specialist articles were published in specialist journals, for example in the ATZ - Automobiltechnische Zeitschrift and in the MTZ Motortechnische Zeitschrift as well as in the lexicon of engine technology on the subject of combustion engines .

From 2000 to 2006 he was a lecturer at the Montanuniversität Leoben , and he also regularly gives guest lectures at various universities.
