Peter Nenniger
Peter Nenniger (* 1944 ) is a Swiss psychologist and educational scientist working in Germany , as well as teaching and learning researcher. From 1992 until his retirement in 2009 he was a full professor for empirical education at the Institute for Educational Science at the University of Koblenz-Landau (Campus Landau ) and a member of the collegial management of the Institute for Educational Science there and the Center for Empirical Educational Research. From 2014 to 2019 he was President of the Humboldt Society .
Study and academic activity
Nenniger studied psychology at the University of Mannheim and graduated in 1971 with a diploma. This was followed by additional studies, including in educational science at the Universities of Mannheim and Aix-en-Provence , as well as an activity as a research assistant at the universities of Mannheim and Freiburg i.Br., as well as a doctorate in the subjects of psychology and educational science in 1977.
In 1984 he completed his habilitation in educational science at the University of Freiburg .
From 1985 to 1992 he was a C3 professor for empirical vocational and business education at the University of Kiel , and from 1985 to 2000 he was visiting professor for educational science at the University of Basel (Switzerland).
From 1992 until his retirement in 2009, he held a C4 professorship for empirical education at the Institute for Educational Science at the University of Koblenz-Landau (Landau campus) and was a member of the collegial management of the local center for empirical educational research.
Has been a member of the Presidium of the Humboldt Society since 2011 . and was its president from 2014 to 2019.
