Peter Neugebauer

Peter Neugebauer (born February 14, 1929 in Hamburg ) is a German cartoonist and author .

Life

Peter Neugebauer attended the Hamburg Advertising School from 1948 to 1949. From 1951 to 1954 he studied graphic design at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . Neugebauer was best known for the crime thriller Zeus Weinstein's adventures , which were published in loose succession in Stern magazine between 1959 and 1987 . Most of his caricatures also appeared in Stern, some of which can also be found in his books Neugebauer's Neuroses and Neugebauer's New Neuroses . He also worked for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit and for the daily newspaper Die Welt . In the years 1972 to 1984 the NDR prepared several episodes of the guessing crime novels from Stern as radio plays for guessing, with new adventures penned by Peter Neugebauer being added due to great demand. In a total of 63 episodes, Gert Haucke, as Zeus Weinstein's assistant Saul Samson , always posed a mystery to the listeners.

He has also made a name for himself as a Sherlock Holmes connoisseur under the pseudonym Zeus Weinstein .

He was a friend of Loriot's , with whom he shared a studio in the early days.
