Peter Nissen (judge)

Peter Nissen (born May 13, 1946 in Elmshorn ; † May 14, 2012 ) was a German judge and state secretary .

biography

Nissen studied law and in 1974 joined the state service of Schleswig-Holstein as a judge . He switched to administrative jurisdiction in 1977, was appointed judge at the local higher administrative court in 1991 and its vice-president in 1996. From 2005 to 2006 he was State Secretary in the Carstensen I cabinet in the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry for Justice, Labor and Europe . He had to resign due to a tax affair. He then practiced as a lawyer .

Nissen had been a member of the SPD since 1968 .
