Peter Pallat

Peter Pallat (born September 21, 1901 in Halensee , † 1992 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German game designer and godchild of the poet Otto Erich Hartleben . 1988 was his game Scalino on the selection list for Game of the Year .

Life

Peter Pallat was born as the son of the Prussian ministerial official and reform pedagogue Ludwig Pallat (1867–1946) and his wife Annemarie Pallat, b. Hartleben (1875–1972), sister of the poet Otto Erich Hartleben , was born. He grew up in Berlin-Wannsee together with his siblings Rosemarie , Rolf and Marianne on Otto-Erich-Straße. After studying architecture, he lived and worked as a graduate engineer. Architect in Freiburg i. Br., Berlin and in Göttingen. There he founded in 1965 the "Citizens' Association".

Pallat invented his first game “Sternrupfen” in 1917/1920. This game did not come onto the German game market until 1932 from the market leader Ravensburger . After that, numerous games were published by various publishers. Pallat died at the age of 90.
