Rosemarie Reichwein
Rose Marie Elisabeth Reichwein , née Pallalat called Pallat (born July 24, 1904 in Deutsch-Wilmersdorf , † August 5, 2002 in Berlin ) was a German reform pedagogue , the first Bobath therapist in Germany and married to the resistance fighter Adolf Reichwein .
Life
Rosemarie Pallat was the second child of the Prussian ministerial official and reform educator Ludwig Pallat (1867–1946) and his wife Annemarie, née. Hartleben (1875–1972), the sister of the poet Otto Erich Hartleben , was born at Kronprinzendamm 11 in Halensee . She grew up in Wannsee with her brother Peter (1901–1992) on Otto-Erich-Strasse . She graduated from school in 1921 in the 10th grade and then attended the trade school in Potsdam , where she trained as a tailor. In 1922 she became a student at the Elisabeth Duncan School in Potsdam, which was directed by Isadora Duncan's sister .
After training as a physiotherapist and gymnastics teacher in Lund (Sweden), Munich and Berlin , the Pädagogische Akademie Halle (Saale) employed Pallat in 1932 as a lecturer in gymnastics, where she met Adolf Reichwein. The academy was dissolved by the Nazis in 1933. After getting married in the church on Stölpchensee , they moved to Tiefensee . The family spent the summer holidays on Hiddensee in the " witch's house " in the village of Vitte, which has been preserved to this day and which belonged to their mother Annemarie, who gave it to their daughter in 1946.
After 1945 Rosemarie Reichwein worked as a body therapist, from 1957 also with the methods of Berta and Karl Bobath . In 1967 she was one of the co-founders of the Spastiker-Verein Berlin , she was also a founding member of the Kreisau-Initiative Berlin and she was instrumental in founding the Reichwein-Verein .
The grave is located in the Wannsee I cemetery in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, and since November 2010 it has been an honorary grave of the State of Berlin .
