Eberhard Görner

Eberhard Görner (born September 7, 1944 in Niederwürschnitz ) is a German book and screenwriter, dramaturge, filmmaker, publicist and university professor.

Life

Eberhard Görner studied German language and literature and history at the University of Education in Leipzig from 1963 to 1967 as well as directing and dramaturgy at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg (graduated in 1976). After a brief activity as a teacher of history and German studies at the polytechnic high schools in Kurtschlag and Menz , he worked as an author and filmmaker for GDR television from 1970. He is co-founder, director and writer of the television series Polizeiruf 110 .

In 1998 Görner was appointed honorary professor for moving image media from the Dresden University of Applied Sciences. He lives in Bad Freienwalde (Oder) , where he was allowed to register in the city's Golden Book in 2011. He supports the reconstruction and preservation of the Lingner Castle in Dresden with readings and film screenings .
