Peter Puluj

Peter Puluj (born September 17, 1930 in Prague ; † November 24, 2017 ) was an Austrian cameraman .

Live and act

The son of an engineer attended trade school and then received practical training as a cameraman in his father's film studio in Linz . He started photographing fairy tale films at the age of 26 and was also active as an assistant director (e.g. at Tischlein deck dich ). Puluj had also photographed cultural and documentary films since the 1950s. In 1965 he directed the camera in Jan Švankmajer's short film Spiel mit Steinen .

Puluj ran the company Puluj Filmproduktion (formerly Froschberg Filmstudios ) in Leonding , where he had lived since 1970 , which produced commissioned films. He also taught at the Art University Linz and filmed for ORF .
