Peter Reichel (born November 30, 1951 in Gießen ) is a former German soccer player who, as a defender for Eintracht Frankfurt, played 225 games in the Bundesliga from 1970 to 1978 and scored nine goals. He won the DFB Cup with Frankfurt in 1974 and 1975 and was used twice in the German national soccer team .

career

In 1961, when he was a youth at VfB Gießen , the student Peter Reichel began playing soccer. At the latest after his appointments by the DFB in October and November 1969 to the German national youth soccer team for the international matches against the Netherlands and Denmark, he drew attention to his above-average talent for defensive play. He was in the four successful qualifying matches for the UEFA youth tournament in Scotland in 1970 against Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia and was a member of the DFB squad for the youth tournament . Right full-back Peter Reichel received a professional contract with Eintracht Frankfurt in 1970 .
