Peter Rohde (engineer)

Max Peter Rohde (born November 27, 1940 in Prague ; † August 9, 2015 in Wiesbaden ) was a German engineer .

Life

After graduating from high school (very good), Rohde worked for a year as a mining enthusiast in underground mining . In the winter semester of 1959/60 he began to study geology and business administration at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . He became active in the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . After an additional game , he received the tape of the Corps Pomerania Greifswald at the end of 1960 . As an inactive he switched to the Bergakademie Clausthal , the TH Berlin and the Colorado School of Mines . As a graduate engineer and Engineer of Mines , he was awarded a Dr.-Ing. In 1967 in Clausthal . PhD.

For a while he was a research assistant at the Clausthal Mining Academy. From there he moved to a mining company in Essen. As an assistant to the board of directors, he experienced the preparation for founding Ruhrkohle AG . Temporarily with the Saarbergwerke , he sat on the board of Ruhrkohle AG from 1982 to 1995. In the last six years of his career he was CEO of Dyckerhoff AG in Wiesbaden. Retired in 2001, Rohde devoted himself to a variety of voluntary tasks. He was treasurer of the Order of St. John for six years. He was co-founder and chairman of Hasso und Katharina v. Etzdorf Foundation . The funeral was in the Marktkirche (Wiesbaden) .

Rohde was the son of a Pomeranian from Greifswald. He was married to Elisabeth born in 1971 . v. Menges , daughter of Dietrich Wilhelm von Menges . His three sons are Göttingen Saxons.
