Peter Rossmanith

Peter Rossmanith (born October 31, 1965 in Turnov , Czech Republic ) is a computer scientist and university professor who came to Germany from what was then Czechoslovakia in 1969 as a child .

life and career

Peter Rossmanith studied at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) until 1990 and then worked during his doctorate as a research assistant at the Chair for Theoretical Computer Science there under Wilfried Brauer at the Faculty of Computer Science . On September 5, 1994, he was there in computer science on the subject Characterizations of Memory Access for PRAM's and Bounds on the Time Complexity of Boolean Functions for Dr. rer. nat. PhD. During his doctorate, he not only lectured at TUM, but also at the Masaryk Institute for Advanced Sciences of the Czech Technical University in Prague . From March 1, 1995, he continued to work as a research assistant at the TUM chair. Since 2003 he has been a university professor in the chair for theoretical computer science at the Faculty of Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University .

Rossmanith has been married to Lidmila Peterková since December 27, 1991. Their son is Peter Junior Rossmanith. Peter Rossmanith's father was Dieter Rossmanith and his mother Anna Kozáková.

Act

Rossmanith mainly deals with algorithmics and complexity theory . He wore u. a. also for the analysis of the auxiliary basement machine , a calculation model based on complexity theory.

He is also the chairman of the task committee of the Federal Computer Science Competition .
