Peter Sartorius

Peter Sartorius (* 1937 ) is a German journalist and publicist .

Life

Peter Sartorius was born in 1937 and was the managing editor of the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

In 1999 he sailed for GEO on the Freydis with the Erich Wilts through eastern Papua New Guinea .

Awards

In the course of his journalistic career he has received several awards:

• In 1977 he was awarded the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for his work Blindekuh unterm Nordkap in the SZ .
• In 1978 he reached 3rd place in the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for the work The Area of ​​the Hungry Wolves .
• In 1980 he received the Theodor Wolff Prize for a work in the South German .
• In 1983 he was again awarded the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for his work on approaching the incomprehensible , also in the SZ .
• In 2000 he was awarded the media prize of the German AIDS Foundation for the AIDS catastrophe in South Africa .

Sartorius was later a member of the jury for the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize and a founding member of the jury for the Ludwig Bölkow Journalist Prize.
