Peter Schöngen (born October 12, 1943 , † July 1, 2014 in Aachen ) was a German football player .

Time as an active person

Schöngen played from 1963 to 1966 at TSV Marl-Hüls in what was then the second -rate regional football league West . He played 62 games for TSV Marl-Hüls. In the summer of 1966, Schöngen moved within the league to Alemannia Aachen . In his first season for Aachen in 1966/67 he made promotion to the Bundesliga with the club . In his last season 1968/69 he was runner-up with Alemannia Aachen. After a foul by Jupp Heynckes , he could only play two season games. He then had to end his career at the age of 25 due to injury. He made 33 league appearances for Alemannia and three appearances in the promotion round in 1967.

After active football

After his active career, he remained loyal to Alemannia Aachen. In the 1990s he worked alongside Gerd vom Bruch as the sports director at Aachen. Schöngen died on July 1, 2014 in Aachen.
