Peter Schildhammer (born January 3, 1988 in Linz ) is an Austrian handball player .

Career

As a player

Peter Schildhammer began his career in youth at SG Linz / Neue Heimat . In the same club he rose in 2006 to the squad of the under 21 and the HLA combat team. In 2010 he joined because of its Legal Profession -Studiums to Vienna , where he at the Aon Fivers Margareten was signed. In 2011, the 1.94 meter tall backcourt player mainly played with the Perchtoldsdorfer Devils, for whom he had a double play authorization. With the 2012/13 season, Peter Schildhammer moved to the Bundesliga club St. Pölten together with Simon Hahn . After he was top scorer in the Bundesliga season 2011/12 and 2012/13 in the regular season, he got a two-year contract from Union Leoben , and thus plays again in the Handball League Austria . After his contract expired, the Upper Austrian moved back to Union St. Pölten . On April 14, 2018, he scored 19 goals against Union Sparkasse Korneuburg and thus contributed significantly to the early relegation of Union St. Pölten. After the 2018/19 season, Schildhammer ended his career as a player.

As a trainer

For the 2019/20 season, the Linz native was hired by UHC Hollabrunn as assistant coach of the women's team.
