Peter Schmalfuss
Peter Schmalfuss (born January 13, 1937 in Berlin ; † October 23, 2008 in Darmstadt ) was a German pianist. He studied with Walter Gieseking , Adrian Aeschbacher and Wilhelm Kempff . From 1960 he began touring Europe, North Africa and Asia. His recordings include a complete cycle of Beethoven - Sonatas and especially the works of Chopin . For 24 years he was a professor at the Academy of Music (Darmstadt) and a member of the Chopin Society in Warsaw .
