Peter Schnellbach

Peter Schnellbach (born  January 21, 1865 in Neckargemünd ; † October 14, 1932 there ) was a German economist and local poet .

Life

Born as the son of the inland waterway shipper Johann Jakob Schnellbach and his wife Philippine, Schnellbach attended the high school in Heidelberg and Bad Wimpfen . This was followed by commercial training in Mannheim . He then took up studies in economics and law . He did his military service in Heidelberg before receiving his doctorate at Heidelberg University in 1889 . Schnellbach then initially worked for the Chamber of Commerce in Mannheim. Around 1895 he moved to the Institute for the Common Good in Frankfurt am Main . There he worked in the Bureau for Poor Management, which he later took over. In 1900 he returned to Mannheim and initially worked in his parents' ship business. Later he took a position in the machine factory Heinrich Lanz , where he was responsible for statistical and literary work.
