Peter Schwerdtner

Peter Schwerdtner (born December 15, 1938 in Heidenheim an der Brenz ; † August 15, 2006 ) was a German legal scholar .

Schwerdtner studied law at the Universities of Geneva , Munich and Tübingen . He received his doctorate in Tübingen in 1966; his habilitation took place in 1972 at the University of Bochum . Since then he has worked as a university professor at Bielefeld University; he held the chair for civil law , labor and commercial law and legal theory . He was also a part-time judge at the Hamm Higher Regional Court . Schwerdtner was also a long-time speaker at the specialist lawyer courses in labor law at the German Lawyers' Institute.

Schwerdtner was married.
