Peter Slimák (born August 20, 1990 in Košice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC 46 Bardejov in the 1st division since 2013 .

Career

Peter Slimák began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Košice , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovakian extra league in the 2008/09 season . In his rookie year he remained pointless in six games and received two penalty minutes. In the following season , the defender increased to one goal and two assists in 34 games and was with HC Košice for the first time in his career Slovak champions . At the same time, he played 18 games on loan for the Slovak U20 national team in the extra league and eight games for HC 46 Bardejov in the first division , the second Slovak division.

In the 2010/11 season Slimák finally prevailed in the professional team of HC Košice. With his hometown club he won the Slovak championship again, where he was on the ice in 55 games. He also played eight times on loan for second division club HC 46 Bardejov. In the following season he was part of the squad of HC Košice, where he completed a total of 53 games in the Extraliga, and also ran in 20 games for HC 46. In August 2012 he was loaned to the MHC Martin until the end of the 2012/13 season, but only played one game for the club.

Slimák has been under contract with HC 46 since 2013.

International

Slimák took part in the U18 World Junior Championship for Slovakia in 2008 . During the tournament he was used in six games and scored one goal and one assist each.
