Peter Terrin (born October 3, 1968 in Tielt ) is a Flemish writer .

biography

Terrin first began an engineering degree ( industrieel ingenieur ), but broke it off and then studied adapted communication at the University of Ghent . He worked as a sales representative . At the age of twenty-three he was inspired by reading the novel De donkere kamer van Damokles ( Eng . The Darkroom of Damocles ) by Willem Frederik Hermans to start writing himself.

Terrin made his debut in 1998 with the short story collection De Code . In 2001 he wrote his first novel with Kras . He had his breakthrough with the novel Blanco , for which he was nominated for the AKO literature prize.
