Peter Vogt (politician, 1952)

Peter Vogt (* 1952 ) is a Swiss politician ( NA , CVP ).

Life and politics

From 1975 to 1979 he was a member of the District Administrator of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft , elected as a member of the National Action against Foreign Immigration of People and Homeland (NA). On January 1, 1979, he resigned from the National Action and joined the parliamentary group of the Swiss People's Party (SVP) as a non-party . In the late 1980s he joined the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP). In 1990 he was in the council of Muttenz chosen since 2000 he is mayor . On October 25, 2012, he was elected President of the Association of Basel- Country Municipalities (VBLG) on January 1, 2013 .

Vogt is married and has three children.
