Peter Wages
Peter Wages (born October 12, 1888 in Korschenbroich ; † March 12, 1938 in Essen-Borbeck ) was a German entrepreneur and politician (center).
Live and act
Wages was born the son of a building contractor. After attending elementary school and high school in Mönchengladbach , where he passed his Abitur in 1910, Wages studied law in Bonn . From 1914 to 1916 Wages took part in the First World War with the 68th Infantry Regiment . He was then sent back home as unfit. From January 1917 to March 1919 he worked at the Chamber of Commerce for the Wuppertal industrial district of Barmen. In addition to his professional activities, he was in 1919 at the University of Greifswald with the comparative law The animal owner liability in the Central European Private Law Dr. jur. PhD. In the following years he worked as a lawyer for various economic associations in Wuppertal Barmen. Politically, he found his home in the Catholic Center Party .
In July 1926, Wages took over the post of association director of the Essen -based Association of Catholic-Commercial Associations in Germany.
In the Reichstag election of July 1932, Wages was elected to the Reichstag , in which he henceforth represented constituency 23 (Düsseldorf-West). After he was re-elected in the following two Reichstag elections in November 1932 and March 1933, he was a member of the Reichstag until the November 1933 election. One of the important parliamentary events in which Wages was involved during his sixteen-month parliamentary term was the vote on the Enabling Act in March 1933, which was finally passed with his vote.
