The Schottmalhorn is 2225 m above sea level. NHN (according to ÖK : 2233 m above sea level ) high mountain in the Steinerne Meer in the Berchtesgaden Alps . From Kärlingerhaus the Schottmalhorn appears as striking rock pillar on the opposite side of the of view Funtensees and sometimes with the Schönfeldspitze confused. There are no marked climbing facilities on the Schottmalhorn. The summit can only be reached via climbing routes from the UIAA level of difficulty II .
